Take in these fantastic drone views of Manaus, Brazil, the principal city in the country's vast Amazon region.  Manaus is the capital city of Amazonas, the giant state which includes most of Brazil's Amazon Basin territory.  Manaus is the center of a metropolitan area of about 2.7 million, representing about 60% of the population of this vast but thinly populated state.  The city is located just east of the confluence of the Solimões and Negro Rivers to form the Amazon.  It's considered the most important city in the entire Amazon Basin.
