Taal Volcano, one of the smallest active volcanoes in the world, in Taal lake in Batangas, a province of Philippines in southern Luzon erupted with its main crater last Jan 12, 2020. It spewed ashes to nearby towns like this one taken just 3 days after. The Phivolcs has raised the volcanic alert level to 4 which means a dangerous major explosion may soon happen. The lake within the lake has dried up making the volcano appear quieter. However, volcanic earthquakes have increased and fissures have been appearing. Talisay is one of the towns within the 14km radius that was being locked down by the police and army when the shot was taken.
