"The Art of Combat" by Cédric Vilella

My name is Cédric Vilella and I am a 38-year-old trainer in combat sports and in self defense. I’ve been boxing, including savate , for 22 years, having also enjoyed competing in national and international boxing competitions. At the age of 19, an irresistible desire compelled me to start travelling around the world while at the same time participating in training programs in clubs in whichever country I found myself. In this way I have been fortunate to experience and learn many different combat sports and martial arts. As a kind of “peaceful warrior”, boxing has evolved into my leitmotiv, and in particular it has been my means of escaping a rather complicated youth and avoiding a very negative life-path which my childhood had initially set me upon. As I started at a very young age, these values have become integral to my way of life and my approach to others Im now organizing all types of seminars in France, Switzerland and abroad These days, there is a growing desire among both men and women to learn how to defend themselves, to strengthen themselves physically, technically and mentally, to acquire self-confidence and achieve self-transcendence. I have witnessed this again and again with trainees, including the flow-on positive impact on their professional and personal lives. In my every day life, I have found that my training provides a solid foundation and a sense of equilibrium that also helps me achieve my goals with confidence. I think that experiencing and mixing with different cultures is part of my DNA. Traveling while training is without a doubt one of the greatest life schools.
