Aerial Cinematographer Eric Peniata is our guest on this episode of The Drone Dish! Host Ryan Hoag finds out how Eric turned his passion for flying drones into a career. Eric explains what being an aerial cinematographer means to him. He loves using drones instead of helicopters because they are cheaper for his clients and safer. Even though it's how he makes his living, he still loves flying recreationally. Living in Southern California gives Eric the perfect backdrop for his aerial photography and cinematography. His favorite categories to post on on AirVuz are Compilations and Instagram because since 2013 his aerial reel has been growing exponentially! His favorite category to check out on the site? AirVuz News! Eric says it's a great place to see everything going on in the UAV community. Many people don't know that Eric is a firefighter, which is how he got into drones originally. He shoots many of their training videos for the department to review (since hanging off the side of a building is not recommended). He says drones are a great tool for search and rescue teams, not just for aerial photography. Thank you for joining us, Eric!
