The Drone Dish: warrenweir

On this episode of The Drone Dish, we talk to Olympian Warren Weir about his passion for flying! Warren tells us how he’s always been interested in aerial shots, but thought that flying a helicopter or plane seemed a little too expensive for his liking. Then he found drones! Living in Jamaica offers him what he calls some of the most beautiful landscapes for aerial shooting. However, being an athlete allows him to travel the world and shoot all kinds of landscapes. He says he’s looking forward to taking his drone on upcoming trips to Germany and Trinidad. Warren brought one of his drones to track practice and shot the race from above. He says his coach loved seeing the bird’s eye view and that they are now implementing drones in practice all of the time to help perfect his technique! He thinks anytime you can see sports from above helps all athletes work on their craft. His favorite video he’s uploaded on the site? His Jamaica compilations! He loves that people outside of Jamaica can see the beauty of his homeland from above with his videos. Finally, Warren tells Ryan his favorite videos on AirVuz are of water and wildlife because he believes wildlife and nature are what it’s all about.
