The Hidden Home of the Roseate Spoonbill

This hideaway if favored by wading birds of all types; Roseate Spoonbills. White Ibis, Egrets, Herons, Wood Storks, and others. Of those, spoonbills are my favorite. They are not particularly shy and their dramatic coloring make for great photographs and video. This little bayou is not known by many, or any, other than myself. It is well protected in the summer months by the mangroves and mosquitoes. In the winter months, it is the mud and mangroves that protect it.
