The Land Of Many Faces
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Former Drone Video of the Month Winner and Drone Video Award Finalist Ghadir Shaar returns to AirVuz after a two year hiatus with this fantastic video from the African country of Namibia. The title of the video refers to the 22nd parallel (south), which roughly bisects the country and at its eastern end serves as the border between Namibia and Botswana. Some of the featured locations include the vast Namib Desert, one of the world's driest; the Namibian coastline along the Atlantic Ocean, and the spectacular Fish River Canyon.

If one asks me, tell me about Namibia, I’ll simply answer “there is nothing to say really, but there is everything to see, stop wasting time, pack your bags and head there”. Last November I went on my first wild adventure since the pandemic began. when I started planning for my next adventure, I wanted to go somewhere very wild, vast and away from civilisation. I wanted to be connected to nature… Namibia… I don’t think there is a ward to describe this place and I won’t try to find, I’ll leave it for you to see a hint of what Namibia’s raw, authentic and rugged nature. I spent most of November last year on a road trip across Namibian vastness and had the opportunity to collaborate with Namibian Tourism Board to produce something that shows Namibia from a new perspective. I’d like to thank everyone who helped me down the road in creating this short film.
