The Louvre Abu Dhabi
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Here's a remarkable drone video of the "other Louvre", located not in Paris like the original but in the Middle Eastern nation of the United Arab Emirates. It's situated in the island city of Abu Dhabi, the UAE's capital and second-largest city. The massively expensive museum was undertaken with the full support and cooperation of the French government, and is the largest art museum on the Arabian Peninsula. Opened in 2017, its collections include some of the world's finest works of art.

The Louvre opened in Abu Dhabi on the 8th of November 2017 after taking 8 years to build. It houses some of most iconic art in the world set out in a time line east meets west. The magnificent building is designed as a "seemingly floating dome structure"; its web-patterned dome allowing the sun to filter through. The overall effect is meant to represent "rays of sunlight passing through date palm fronds in an oasis.
