Description: Well the day I have waited for nearly 4 years has finally arrived! After an extensive overhaul to say the least, the Mayflower is nearly ready to return home! Just a few sea trials and USCG paperwork and the grand old gal will make her way home to Plymouth, MA! P4P 2.0 & MA2! Well my blood pressure and heart rate was most likely as high as the drone but mission accomplished! This really was on my mind and in the making for a long time. Researching tides, weather, cinematography planning, multiple trips to go location/launch scouting, avoiding crowds (seriously that was a pain!) and of course - the sun refusing to show itself BUT the wind was low, signal to the drones was perfect 100% of the time and I even managed to avoid getting a free wash by the fire boat. The Mayflower II has never looked so good and it was a genuine thrill to be able to film her departure from her home for the past few years. I guess you could say all the planning paid off in spades! She returns soon but for now please enjoy!
