The Sea Musketeers

This is one of the efforts by the Terengganu government in collaboration with an oil and gas-based company to protect the seabed from trawl fishermen operating in the small fishermen’s zone. These cement cubes are placed at specific coordinates to prevent unauthorized fishermen from taking marine resources from our state waters. These cubes also serve as habitats for fish and other aquatic life to help control the depletion of fish populations in Terengganu waters.

My hope is that more projects like this will be carried out so that we, as humans, can continue to enjoy fresh food. Moreover, let us treat this world as our home.
