This is the story of the Legend of the Vikings, an epic voyage spanning two continents and with 75% drone video content. Follow along this aerial adventure as a Norwegian Viking named Espen makes an arduous journey from his homeland near the Scandinavian fjords to the land of his Viking brothers across great oceans and lakes. While walking one day with his canine companion Fenris, Espen finds a helmet unlike anything he’s ever seen before — rather than real horns like his Viking helmet, it has purple and has white horns drawn on the sides. When Espen puts it on, he has visions of a land called “Minnesota” where, in a magical palace called “U.S. Bank Stadium,” his people proudly fight for an oval shaped ball while donned in purple and gold. He knows he must travel there and help them defend the North! Espen and his fellow villagers travel by Viking boat across the sea and Great Lakes from Norway to Minnesota, but trouble amongst the travelers brews and Espen is thrown overboard. Will he make it to the home of his Minnesota Vikings or will he be lost at sea? Find out by watching this high-impact video, which AirVūz created in cooperation with community member Espen Hatleskog, who goes under the name Pilot Viking and whose video "Dream" was chosen as a finalist for the Drone Video Awards in the Sports category. Nearly three quarters of this AirVuz Original production was filmed with drones, primarily a DJI Inspire 2. The aerial footage includes panoramic views of some of the most beautiful scenery in Norway, the shore of Lake Superior in Duluth where Espen washes ashore, as well as extensive aerial footage inside and outside U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis, home of the Minnesota Vikings and site of Super Bowl LII.
