The Western Gothic Line - Mount Folgorito
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
AirVuz contributor Dronzate brings us this excellent drone video from the Apennine Mountains of Italy's Tuscany region. The video was filmed over and around Mount Folgorito. Mt. Folgorito was part of the Gothic Line during World War II, when Allied soldiers worked their way up the Italian peninsula in a series of battles which collectively inflicted hundreds of thousands of casualties. Famously, the 442nd Infantry Regiment, composed of Japanese-Americans, breached the Western Gothic Line here in the closing weeks of the conflict.
