The Yuba River is running clear and cold past French Bar in French Ravine, April 2024 CA - 4k drone

I was helping the Bear Yuba Land Trust with some cleanup around Rice’s Crossing Preserve. I had some time during lunch break to capture the beauty of the Yuba River flowing past French Bar in French Ravine. French Ravine is about a mile long. It is located about three miles south of Dobbins, and downstream from Condemned Bar. It is the site of a former community that was known as Frenches Ravine, which was named for the large number of French gold miners. Rice’s Crossing Preserve, which includes the north fork and main stem of the Yuba River. It is located in both Nevada and Yuba counties, between Bullards Bar Reservoir and South Yuba State Park.
