The border between the two German countries
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Following Germany's defeat in World War II, five German states - Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia - plus the eastern part of Berlin became part of the USSR satellite German Democratic Republic (East Germany), while the territory held by the Western Allies became the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany). Peacefully reunited following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the legacy of divided Germany is still visible in this drone video of a border checkpoint by AirVuz contributor seb-depp.

Until 1990 Germany was divided into two countries: the socialist eastern part and capitalist western part. In-between the „Democratic“ Republic of Germany built a frontier that was almost impossible to cross because of the high security that was ruthlessly enforced. At least 327 humans were shot or killed by mines, maybe many more. This place is a museum of the border with its towers, mine fields, floodlights, barriers, military vehicles. Only part of it can still be seen - enough for a very oppressive atmosphere. The edit is supposed to symbolize a bit of that and the injustice of that system. Music „Power“ by AShamaluevMusic.com
