Growing up in New Orleans, this used to be the place to be on weekends. A amazing restaurants and bars occupied the West End. I remember the Bounty and Fitzgeralds as iconic restaurants serving the best seafood around. Times have certainly changed and then Hurricane Katrina destroyed what remained. Today, it remains as a staging area for the Army Corp working on the pumping stations. This is near where the levee breached from Hurricane Katrina.
