Thermaculture: The Yard by Stokeyard Outfitters

at 4700 Nicollet, The Yard is a gathering place for community to share in wellness. With wood-burning mobile saunas built on a trailer like a tiny house, the space hosts pop-up magic. In the Twin Cities there is a grassroots tradition building around thermal wellness activities - a thermaculture. In Minneapolis we have the country's only member-owned mobile sauna coop, the 612 Sauna Society, which we park down at the lake sometimes, and Full Moon DJ parties on a rooftop patio with pool / bar / sauna overlooking the skyline. Each venue offers a different environment and atmosphere though the crowd is always chill, fascinating and authentic. The Yard is having their opening party this Friday, 9/20. We'll be racing Tinywhoops at Can Can Wonderland following, and again at Williams Bar in uptown on Saturday for a seriously shenanigan fueled weekend.
