-TIME TO CARE- Are you ready for climate changes? Do we need more economy? Do we need plastic? Do we need Governments? Do you realise why you pay taxes? Will you stay like a puppet? Shot with Mavic Air Location: Dreisessel, Germany Some details reporting Oxfam Novib "Time to Care" In 2019, 162 billionaires owned as much as half the world's population. The number of billionaires in the world is still increasing. In ten years it doubled to more than two thousand. And since the 2008 crisis, they have grown 7.8 percent each year. The richest 1 percent of the world has twice as much assets as 6.9 billion other world citizens. "If you had saved 10,000 dollars a day since the construction of the pyramids, you would only have one fifth of the assets of the five richest billionaires," Oxfam has calculated visually. Nearly half of the world's population has to live on 5.5 dollars (5 euros) per day or less - "often just a doctor's bill away from relapse in poverty." Seven out of ten people worldwide live in a country where the gap between rich and poor has grown over the last thirty years. Despite the decline in extreme poverty, 735 million people still live on less than $ 1.90 a day. Oxfam says that "strong men like US President Trump and Bolsonaro of Brazil are only working to widen the gap between haves and have-nots through tax cuts for billionaires, turbo-racism and sexism."
