Tsé Bitʼaʼí
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Contributor and pilot tglass0000 created this epic drone video of one of the most well known rock formations in the Southwestern USA: Shiprock. The giant inselberg (isolated rock) is situated on lands of the Navajo Nation in northwestern New Mexico, near the spot where the state comes together with Colorado, Arizona and Utah at Four Corners. Shipock is considered to be of significant cultural importance to the native peoples of the region, who named it the "Winged Rock". It stands almost 1.6k ft. (480 m) above the surrounding plain.

Tsé Bitʼaʼí (Shiprock) is a volcanic "rock with wings" that formed over 27 million years ago near the four corners region of the United States. Rising nearly 1,583 above the high desert, it is the most prominent landmark in northwestern New Mexico. But to the Navajo that live there, it is so much more than a geological formation. It plays a significant role in their religion and is mentioned in many of their stories. Some Navajo traditionalists argue that it may have originated as a work of the "star people".
