UTT1 was set up at FF17 East and I got a chance to run it. This was my first time actually timing myself on a track, and I mostly stumbled around like a noob. I haven't been flying much lately and rusty doesn't even begin to describe it :( The first few clips are Sunday from the first pack on the course from a new quad I built up at FF. I'm a bit frustrated that the Runcam Split somehow didn't record my second pack where I was a bit more consistent was able to put down a 14.7 run. The second part of the video I decided to take my daily flyer freestyle quad up Friday evening after the races were over mostly as a joke, but it turns out those were my most consistent runs though they were a bit slower at 16.0. The take away is start with the quad you fly the most! Unfortunately I didn't realize until after qualifiers on Friday that the quad I was running was one where I had been messing with throttle expo, which explains why I kept running into the ground on that setup! There's an interesting clip from that quad at the end of the video. All-in-all a good time at FF, though I realized I need to actually practice if I want to put in any decent times. The new quad will probably be my go-to racer. It handles great and screams in the straights. I think I could get down to about 12 seconds on UTT1 on that quad, but that's probably the extent of my capacity. I have no idea how those guys are putting down 9 second runs! On a side note I ran my 3" with a 1300mah 4S as another joke early in qualifying and got an 18, which barely qualified for a few minutes before it got knocked out, hah. Didn't get any DVR footage of that run though, too bad.
