Founded in 1842, the private university is located in the eponymously named town, which is one of the Main Line suburbs northwest of downtown Philadelphia. The university's enrollment is about 11,000, around 2/3 of which is undergraduate. The school was recently ranked amongst the top 50 national universities in the US News & World Report annual college rankings.
