Volcano Kara-Dag. Deviate from the usual route

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : The Kara Dag is a volcanic rock formation in Crimea. It lies between the coastal town of Koktebel and the Otuzka River Valley and is part of the Crimean Mountains. The area surrounding the dormant volcano has been a protected nature reserve since 1979. The area is absolutely stunning and can be seen in this outstanding first person view (FPV) video by AirVuz contributor and FPV pilot craig_dt. This video earned the talented pilot and content creator an AirVuz FPV Pilots to Watch nod in August of 2019.

Kara-Dag - the remains of a volcano that operated about 173 million years ago. One of the most beautiful places of Crimea! Now it is almost completely closed to visiting by tourists, there are only 2 routes - sea and hiking. But we opened a new one - air! Not without problems, of course ... The volcanic rock in these places is replete with the content of magnetic ores or something similar. So along the hiking route everything that transmits information over the air (mobile communication, Wi-Fi, GPS ) not working. Therefore, the flight route had to be with using this information... But in other places, when approaching the rocks, the connection still began to disappear. But we did it! And we are in a hurry to share this video with you! p.s. we traveled along the sea route on the Assol boat, we also flew from it right on the move.
