Volcanos of Sicily | Etna and the Aeolian Islands Cinematic FPV
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
To see the state of the art in first person view (FPV) drone travel videos, check out this piece from southern Italy from top AirVuz contributor Jturner. The video was filmed in the course of a trip to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands, an archipelago just north of the Mediterranean's largest island. You'll start atop Mt. Etna, one of the world's most active volcanoes, which lies on the eastern side of Sicily. After dodging some red-hot lava spurts, you'll skim along spectacular coastlines, fly over quaint seaside villages, and more.

Experience Sicily's Mount Etna and the stunning Aeolian Islands from above.
We began our trip by climbing to the top of Europe's most active volcano, mount Etna. The volcanic landscape and giant craters, filled with sulfur and billowing plumes of smoke were amazing to witness up close.
We then dropped off our rental car in Milazzo and took hydrofoils around the Aeolian islands for a week. We stayed on the islands of Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, and Stromboli.
My goal with this video was to juxtapose the raw power of Sicily's active volcanos with the serenity of the coastal towns and the Mediterranean sea. I hope you enjoy!
The entire video was filmed on the GoPro 10 black. Drones used- Iflight nazgul evoque, BOB57, Chimera 7 Pro
