WWII "Bombstore" in Llanberis, North Wales
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
As the UK stepped up the bombing campaign against Germany in World War II, it was imperative to protect its unused bomb stores from enemy bombers and possible saboteaurs. One of the critical supply stores was built out of an abandoned quarry near the Welsh town of Llanberis. In early 1942, the roof built over the quarry collapsed, temporarily trapping almost 15% of the UK's bomb stores. Tudnofilms used a drone to give us a bird's eye view of the (now bomb-free) site.

The old "Bombstore" as it's known locally was, in world war 2, exactly that. It has quite a story behind it to. For more info, see here: http://www.subbrit.org.uk/sb-sites/sites/l/llanberis/index.shtml
