Wat Bang Thong
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Thailand is home to the world's second largest Buddhist population (after China), so it's no surprise that the country hosts a treasure trove of temples and pagodas from the world's third largest religion. Some are old, some are of modern vintage, and some are very new like the Wat Bang Thong temple in the town of Ao Leuk in the (southern) Krabi province. Actually, it's not quite finished yet, but it's close. You can get a great aerial view of the temple in this drone video by contributor CMY.MEDIA.

Wat Bang Tong in Plai Praya District of Thailand’s Krabi Province could be described as being in the middle of nowhere. If you travel NW on highway 415 it kind of appears. Despite visiting several times, I’ve never found anyone who can tell me why it was built, who built it, nor when it will be finished; although, some say at least ten years. So, it’s best just to go and enjoy both the spectacular exterior and interior, without asking questions!
