An early morning trip to visit Bilbrough Falls & Purlingbrook Falls and fly the Autel Lite & DJI Air 3.

Both waterfalls are located within the world heritage listed Springbrook National Park, Gold Coast Hinterland, south east Queensland, Australia,

Bilbrough Falls is an escarpment waterfall & below that is Goomoolahra Falls which is a cascade waterfall down into the valley below,

Purlingbrook Falls is one of the most popular attractions in the Gold Coast Hinterland, and is one of the tallest waterfalls in Queensland. Purlingbrook Falls is a 120 metres waterfall with a sheer dropoff to the valley below.

These waterfalls are small by world standards but nonetheless very spectacular.

Bilbrough Falls is located at the very end of Springbrook Road, Springbrook. A short walk from the car park takes you to Bilbrough Falls and a nearby lookout overlooking Gold Coast. This is also a wheelchair accessible concrete footpath all the way. You’ll feel quite small as you're overlooking the falls and towards the Gold Coast in the distance. The sensational views of the dense rainforest blanketing the hills and mountains of Springbrook are easily worth the short trip, and on a clear day you can see the Pacific Ocean and skyscrapers of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. With a paved track and a nice little picnic area with BBQs and sheltered tables, this can make for a great family day trip from the Gold Coast or Brisbane.

Purlingbrook Falls is situated in a world heritage site and surrounded by unique flora and wildlife. A brief hike on graduated steps brings you to a picnic area where you can relax and watch the amazing waterfall as it cascades into the depths below. The surrounding environment of Purlingbrook Falls is almost unmatched for serenity. From the lookout above the falls, you can appreciate the plant life that thrives in this rain forest. Make sure you bring your camera to capture some of the beautiful scenery around here, as well as the falls themselves. A 4km walk around the Purling Brook Falls Circuit takes most people approximately 2 hours to complete.

The strata composition of volcanic sedimentary rock in this area is well known for giving off very high magnetic interference, and the area is a graveyard of lost drones. Both my friends Mavic 3 and my Air 3 had scary moments where all transmission was lost. I didn't have any of these issues with the Autel Lite.
