This beautiful waterfall located in Val do Dubre is also known as Fervenza de Insua - Gontar as the Rego do Porto do Nabo that forms it runs between these two small villages. On some occasions we may hear it referred to as the Pincho do Castrón. This small river rises in the vicinity of Val do Dubra and meanders for 7.8 km until it joins the River Dubra, in Insua.

Between Insua and Gontar the river narrows to form a formidable waterfall in two distinct sections. It is worth highlighting the environment where the "amieiros" and "carballos" (oak trees) predominate, forming a magnificent autochthonous forest.
