Welcom at liège

Liège is an important city in eastern Belgium.  Seen here in this excellent drone video by new AirVuz contributor dronie4000, the city is situated at the confluence of the Meuse River and Ourthe Rivers.  Dating to shortly after the Roman period, the city's strategic location led the area around Liège to become some of the most fought-over lands in Europe.  Famously, the siege of the great fortification system here in August 1914 was the first large-scale battle of World War I.
