Whaleback Light in Portsmouth Harbor on the Maine side in Kittery. This light tower was built in 1872 and stands 59' above msl. There are a couple of approaches to capture this landmark from the air, either from Fort Foster on the Maine side of the harbor in Kittery, or from Fort Stark on the New Hampshire side in New Castle. I chose the latter on a typical brisk morning on the seacoast with a stiff wind that gave me a "nasty" warning on the display as the Mavic Air 2 approached the Light after a 1 mile flight across open ocean. This was an automated mission using the Maven app v3.9 and incorporated a combined orbit and spiral around the Light. Post flight, I have made a number of adjustments to the Maven mission for better results and will post sometime soon.
