In this video, we take in the vistas of the beautiful Wappa Dam in spill (overflowing) & Wappa Falls, after a recent rain event. The Wappa Dam is a mass concrete gravity arch dam with earth-fill abutments and an un-gated spillway across the South Maroochy River that is located in the South East Queensland, Australia. The main purpose of the dam is for supply of potable water for the Sunshine Coast region. On the banks of Wappa Dam is the incredibly pretty Jack Harrison Park (also known as Wappa Park). The park is filled with endless green open space, picnic tables, playground amenities and lawns which stretch right down to the lake – perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun. In Autumn, the park is filled with red maple leaves, and after some heavy rain, Wappa Dam will quickly become one of your favourite places to visit Wappa Falls is a beautiful little waterfall that gushes over a rock ledge into a deep swimming hole on the Maroochy River. The pool is surrounded by rocks for sunbathing and is a gorgeous wild swimming pool. This is a well-known local swimming spot and sometimes gets busy at weekends. There were 3 x Autel Evo 2 Pro's and a Phantom 4 in the air together on the morning, and included in this video are a few scenes of the Evo 2 Pro flying with the dam wall in the background. The high quality of 6K video coming from the Autel Evo 2 Pro speaks for itself. The orbit of the drone was performed manually. Drone used in this production is the Autel Evo 2 Pro – shot in 6K, log, 30fps and rendered to 4K. Edited using Filmora X. Drone videographers are Ross Langdon & Edwin Mens.
