When my family visits Lake Oroville we always use Bidwell Canyon Marina as our primary access point. The boat ramp is good and the parking lot is close. The people and services of the marina are great. Lake Oroville has a capacity of over 3.5 million acre-feet. It is located on the Feather River, about 75 miles north of Sacramento, in Butte County. This lake offers many recreational activities like camping, horseback riding, hiking, sail and power boating, fishing, swimming and much more. My favorite is the floating campsites. There is also great bass fishing, and coho salmon stocked from the Feather River Fish Hatchery.
