The Dardagna is a stream that originates near the Corno alle Scale (1945 m s.l.m.) and Mount Spigolino (1827 m s.l.m.) from which it falls with numerous and spectacular leaps. Within a few kilometers the water overcomes a difference in altitude of over 250 meters with repeated jumps (in all there are seven: the first and highest is 30 meters). Due to cracks in the rock stratifications of the jumps, the water flow is increasingly enriched along the route following the infiltration of the upper basin waters. The waterfalls can be reached easily with a suggestive route that starts from the Madonna dell'Acero (1190 m s.l.m., Lizzano in Belvedere). In the waters of the Dardagna there are numerous varieties of fish typical of clean and cold waters such as the brown trout and the vairone. After a journey of about 15 km, in the town of Rocchetta it joins the Leo stream, which subsequently enters the Panaro river.
