Top contributor minglam created this marvelous aerial view of Bagnoregio, a village in Central Italy.  It's located in Viterbo, the northernmost of the four provinces (plus the capital district) that make up the Lazio region.  Bagnoregio was founded by the Etruscans (a civilization which covered much of present-day Tuscany and beyond) before the rise of Rome, which lies about 75 km (around 45 mi.) to its south.  It sits on a plateau overlooking the Tiber River valley which is continually shrinking due to erosion.
