After nearly four decades, the townsfolk of Plymouth, MA felt the palpable excitement as a new chapter in its history begins. The cruise ship American Eagle made her maiden voyage into the town's scenic harbor. As the largest ship to ever enter the harbor, its presence was an emblem of modernity merging with Plymouth's rich history and maritime tradition's. This venture between the town and American Cruise Lines is a new expansion on their “Cape Codder” itinerary. Stops also include ports in Boston, Gloucester, Martha’s Vineyard, New Bedford, Provincetown and Newport, Rhode Island. Additional dockings in historic Plymouth are planned for 2024.
