BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

today in Livorno I experienced something I won’t forget. At the pro-Palestine rally we made it all the way to the port and, arm in arm with people I hadn’t known a minute before, we stood in front of seven trucks. We looked them in the eye, shoulder to shoulder, and watched them turn back. There wasn’t hatred—there was a clear, clean resolve. It felt like finding a family without knowing their names: the same eyes, the same breath, the same “no” turning into a “yes” to life.

I felt indignation become a shared feeling: hands tightening, voices joining, our steps moving as one. On that stretch of road I understood that peace isn’t a word to shout louder than others—it’s a responsibility we carry together. Each with our own piece of courage, each with our own fragility.

I’m going home tired, but with a full heart. If someone asks me “why” tomorrow, I’ll answer: for the children, for the hospitals, for civilians of every flag. Because we can’t get used to other people’s pain.Today I felt that our “no” doesn’t divide—it embraces. And that peace, when you choose it out in the street, can still give you chills.
