Mid November is when the city of Brisbane comes alive with spectacular jacaranda tree blooms.

The city is awash with Purple Flowers everywhere.

This video only captures a snippet of the endless stands of Jacarandas trees throughout our city.

Unfortunately the weather has not been kind over the past week, with wet or cloudy conditions during the peak of this Jacaranda bloom.

Heavy rain was forecast for this evening which will wash away most of the flower foliage, so i had to shoot in this gloomy weather to capture the jacarandas in full bloom.

Another big issue during these flights was the birds.

Currawongs & crows were constantly attacking my drone, as it is their nesting season.

You can see birds attacking my drone on 2 separate occasions during this video.

One bird hit my drone very hard & I actually heard the loud thump.

The end result was a cracked propeller, but nonetheless the drone kept on flying.

Autel Nano+ - shot in 4K, HDR, 30fps, no ND filter (as conditions were quite bleak & wet during the filming of this video).
