Contributor and drone pilot tntrmedia created this beautiful aerial of a scenic town in northwestern Turkey. The town is called Kartepe, and it lies roughly between the Gulf of İzmit (an eastern extension of the Sea of Marmara) and a large lake called Sapanca. Karetpe has become a popular getaway spot for travelers from Istanbul and Bursa, a roughly three hour drive from each city. The town lies just north of the Kartepe Mountains in the Kocaeli Province, which is part of the East Marmara region.
