Las Médulas... IN MEMORIAM

Este video que subo hoy, es para poder recordar cómo era este paraje excepcional, Monumento Natural y Patrimonio de la Humanidad  declarado por la UNESCO, antes de que un incendio, aún activo después de cuatro días, destruyera casi la totalidad de su vegetación, con castaños centenarios, acebos, etc. así como parte de los localidades colindantes; las altas temperaturas, fuertes vientos y la falta de recursos materiales y humanos en la prevención de los incendios han contribuido a esta gran catástrofe. Esperemos que los responsables paguen sus negligencias y políticas negacionistas de un cambio climático que ya nos está devorando.

This video that I upload today, is to be able to remember what this exceptional place was like, Natural Monument and World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO, before a fire, still active after four days, destroyed almost all of its vegetation, with centuries-old chestnut trees, holly, etc. as well as part of the neighboring localities; high temperatures, strong winds and the lack of material and human resources in fire prevention have contributed to this great catastrophe. Let's hope that those responsible pay for their negligence and denialist policies of a climate change that is already devouring us.
