Lazarica Church: The Pearl of Kruševac

AirVuz contributor Aleksandar Popovic brings us this excellent drone video of a well-known church in Serbia.  It's called Lazarica Church, and it's located in the city of Kruševac in the south-central part of the country.  The Serbian Orthodox church was built in the late 14th century on the orders of Lazar of Serbia, one of the most well-known Serbian rulers from the Middle Ages.  Abandoned during the period of Ottoman rule of the region, the church was restored following the re-establishment of Serbian independence in the 19th century.

Church of the Holy First Martyr Stephen better known as the Lazarica Church It was built in 1375-1378 as an endowment of prince Lazar of Serbia. Lazarica, as an outstanding achievement of the Serbian medieval architecture, was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1979.
