Stunning Twin Falls, Springbrook National Park - 4K

Springbrook National Park is a Gwondana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area with spectacular scenery, beautiful waterfalls, breathtaking views and amazing wildlife.

One of the best ways to experience all of these natural wonders is on the Twin Falls Circuit walking trail.

Twin Falls Circuit is a 4-kilometre circuit walking trail that takes you from the beautiful panoramic views at the top of the Springbrook Plateau to the mystical rainforest floor in the canyon below.

It is a wonderfully scenic walk where you can cross streams, walk through crazy rock clefts, explore the magnificent subtropical rainforest, walk behind not one but two waterfalls, cool off in a huge rock pool, spot wildlife and much more !

On the same track to Twin Falls is the staging point for the Warrie Circuit walking trail. The longest and most interesting track (14kms) on the plateau follows the base of The Canyon cliffs to Goomoolahra Falls before descending into the mossy green depths of the rainforest. The track (named with the Aboriginal word 'Warrie', meaning 'rushing water') crosses several creeks and gullies. The track reaches the 'Meeting of the Waters', where all watercourses draining The Canyon meet, then climbs up the western side of the gorge. The moist and shady conditions at the base of Goomoolahra Falls provide an ideal habitat for the giant spear lilies Doryanthes palmeri. This succulent herb is one of only two members of the Doryanthiacea plant family, which is endemic to Australia.
