We’re visiting old favourites and hidden gems, showcasing the sheer beauty of these incredible engineering marvels.

📍 Chasing Vistas at these 14 Dams:

· Somerset Dam: Arguably the most photogenic, with its purple-hued waters snaking through the hills. The views from the spillway are unmatched.

· Lake Wivenhoe: The big one. We capture the vast expanse of Queensland's largest dam and the stunning parklands along its shore.

· Splityard Creek Dam: Perched high above Wivenhoe, the views from here are next-level. It’s a pumped-storage hydro scheme with incredible panoramas.

· Lake Manchester: Tucked away in the D'Aguilar Range, this dam offers peaceful, forest-fringed vistas that feel a world away from the city.

· Gold Creek Dam: One of Brisbane's oldest, nestled in a lush valley. The walk across the dam wall reveals beautiful reflections of the surrounding hills.

· Enoggera Dam: Brisbane's first dam. We explore the heritage-listed wall and the tranquil reservoir that started it all.

· Hinze Dam: The Gold Coast's crown jewel. The vista from the top of the wall, looking out over the lake to the hinterland, is absolutely world-class.

· Lake Maroon: A Scenic Rim stunner. The view across the lake towards the peaks of the Great Dividing Range is pure magic.

· Lake Wyaralong: One of the newer dams, offering wide, open vistas and a unique landscape dominated by ranges in the distance.

· Lake Moogerah: Iconic. Nestled against the base of Mount Edwards, the reflections on the still water create one of SEQ's most photographed scenes.

· Lake Kurwongbah: A quieter spot with lovely, intimate views. A great example of a smaller catchment with big charm.

· Wappa Dam: A hidden gem in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Small but perfectly formed, with gorgeous green hills rolling down to the water's edge.

· North Pine Dam (Lake Samsonvale): The major water supply for the Moreton Bay Region. We check out the expansive views from the recreation areas and the impressive dam wall.

· Baroon Pocket Dam: The final jewel in our crown. The vista of this lake surrounded by the lush, misty mountains near Maleny and Montville is pure paradise.
