Tavolara Island: "The Smallest Kingdom in the World" [ 4K Cinematic ]

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Check out these breathtaking drone views of a tiny island off the larger Italian island of Sardinia, compliments of AirVuz contributor and pilot Sardegna World.  Tavolara Island is located off of Sardinia's northeastern coast in the Tyrrhenian Sea (a large inlet of the Mediterranean), near the southern entrance to the Gulf of Olbia.  About two miles (3 km) long by .6 mi. (a km) wide, and largely surrounded by cliffs, the island has only a few inhabitants; most were cleared in the 1960's to make way for a NATO radio listening station.

Sardegna World continues its adventure in the North-East of the Island, exactly "IN THE SMALLEST KINGDOM IN THE WORLD" THE ISLAND OF TAVOLARA!!!!

Tavolara is a limestone and granite mountain that emerges from the crystalline sea, the oasis is 565 meters high (at the highest point we find Punta Cannone) and about four kilometers long.

On this rock that appears from the sea, inaccessible areas alternate, with fantastic shades of green that are reflected in the blue of the surrounding sea. The only inhabited part of the island of Tavolara is the narrow isthmus, while the eastern part is occupied by an inaccessible military zone, which is why the video will cover the area from the middle to the western tip. In reality, the island of Tavolara is part of a larger marine protected area, the Tavolara Punta di Coda Cavallo reserve established in 1997.

This area includes a vast area that extends along the coast of Loiri Porto San Paolo, Olbia and San Teodoro and from Capo Ceraso up to Punta s'Isuledda. The small islands of Molara, Molarotto, Proratora, Piana and Isola dei Cavalli are also part of the oasis.

The granite mountain of the Island of Tavolara is full of charming pink beaches, which open up among the Mediterranean scrub. The waters surrounding the island are intense blue and are popular for their snorkeling opportunities. Punta Spalmatore is a sort of small island connected to a sandy isthmus. This beach is bathed on both sides by a dream sea which makes it a spectacular oasis.

From the port of Tavolara, a long white sand beach begins which in some places is mixed with pebbles coloring pink. Among the other beaches worth mentioning, Cala Tramontana stands out, a white sandy beach reachable via a path.I don't want to add anything else, and I'll let you enjoy this fantastic vision
