The 611 Locamotive Chugging along the Shenandoah Valley

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Top AirVuz conributor Clark Lupton created this outstanding aerial video of a historic steam train running through the Shenandoah Valley in the heart of the USA's Appalachia region.  The train is being pulled by the Norfolk and Western 611, the only surviving member of the Norfolk and Western's Class J 4-8-4 locomotive fleet.  Built by the railroad (now part of Norfolk Southern) around 1950, it was one of the last steam-powered passenger locomotives built in the USA prior to the industry's complete conversion to diesel-electric power.
