The Serenity of Winter

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Explore a famous California mountain forest in the depth of winter in this outstanding drone video by AirVuz contributor Allan Crawford. The video was filmed over Tahoe National Forest, which is located north of Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The forest covers almost 1.4k square mi. (over 3.5k square km) of largely virgin forest, and includes mountain peaks of up to 8.6k ft. above sea level (around 2.6k m). This area receives some of the highest annual snowfalls of anywhere in the Continental USA.

Tahoe and the surrounding mountains have over 15 feet of snow...and it's only mid January. More is on the way. Snow covered roads make for great flying among the snow covered trees.
