Wahiba 4x4 Sands

Wahiba Sands is a vast desert in eastern Oman characterized by rolling reddish-gold dunes stretching roughly 180 km north–south and 80 km east–west. Visited in January 2026 with a rented 4x4 car. When entering the desert it is necessary to lower pressure in tyres and disable ESP-like systems. We enjoyed riding wide desert valleys and steep sand dunes with overnight stay at Desert Stars Camp.

Filmed with DJI Air3 drone. It took a lot of efforts and significant cost to bring the drone into Oman, but definitely worth it.
