It's located on Moskenesøya, one of the southernmost islands in the Lofoten Islands chain in the northern part of the country. Situated at the end of the European route E10 near the village of Sørvågen in the municipality of Moskenes, in recent years Å has been transformed from a small fishing village to a significant travel destination.
