Žabljak Crnojevića

Žabljak Crnojevića is a famous medieval fortress in Montenegro, a small country of the Balkans region of Southeastern Europe.  Seen in this drone video by former Drone Video of the Week Winner Beautiful Montenegro, the fortification is situated near the mouth of the Morača River in Lake Skadar, in the southern part of the country.  Dating to the 10th century AD, the fortress came under Ottoman control in 1478 near the end of the First Ottoman–Venetian War.  Ottoman control was relinquished in 1878 pursuant to the Treaty of Berlin.
