🌿 The Lavender Fields of Valensole – Provence, France 🐝

Welcome to the famous Valensole Plateau, located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region of southern France. Rising to about 590–600 meters (1,935–1,970 ft) above sea level, the plateau covers approximately 800 km² (309 sq mi), making it one of the largest plateaus in France. The commune of Valensole extends over nearly 12,700 hectares, while more than 81,000 hectares of the plateau are devoted to agriculture, especially lavender, lavandin and cereal crops.
