We head to Germany for this week’s #QuadGoals feature, where pilot Niklas Solle, better known as Upsidedown FPV, shares the details of his go-to quad — and shows us some of the work the quad has done.
“This is the quad I use for all my commercial filming – my ‘workhorse.’
Just an all-around great quad that ticks all the boxes for my needs. May it be the super stiff and durable ImpulseRC Apex Frame, the powerful T-Motors that are smooth but at the same time provide enough power to keep up with any type of fast moving vehicles, or the Crossfire system that gives me a reliable control-link wherever I want to fly. I could go on and on for all parts of this build.
The story is that this quad has developed over the past year to what it is now, also because technology has developed so much. It has gone through different types of powertrain setups, got an upgrade from analog to digital video and also went from another frame to this super tidy and clean Apex HD frame. The only parts that haven’t changed are the FC, the Crossfire System and the Tattu Batteries. The video has been flown with all various stages this quad has been through, with some clips being flown with the latest (and probably final) version of it. Also a big thanks to my sponsors FETtec, Team Blacksheep, HQ Props, Tattu Batteries, RunCam and T-Motor for providing me the best parts to build this beast.”
