2020 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 6

Every week, our team reviews every video uploaded to the site to pick the Top 5 videos.  Then, we name our favorite as our Drone Video of the Week and send that drone pilot $250.  (The winning video is also then a contender for Drone Video of the Month.) For a first upload to AirVuz, new contributor Makhorov brings us this DVOW-winning piece from the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia's Far Eastern region, between the Sea of Ohotsk and the Bering Sea. Opening with some epic shots of the peninsula's stunning coastline, most of the video was shot in the largely volcano-covered interior of the region. The video includes footage of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka, the highest Eurasian volcano with a peak elevation of about 4.75k meters above sea level (roughly 15.6k ft.). 

Check out this fantastic wintertime aerial tour of the Bulgarian town of Nessebar, compliments of top AirVuz contributor and DVOW finalist Mattcoq. Situated on the country's Black Sea coastline in the province of Burgas, Nessebar is sometimes called the Pearl of the Black Sea (a nickname shared by the Ukrainian city of Odessa). Nessebar is split into two parts, which are connected by a man-made isthmus. Settled since the second millennium BC, the city played an important role in the affairs of the western Black Sea region for centuries.  

If you are thinking about taking a trip to Southern Thailand, this outstanding travel video by top AirVuz contributor and DVOW finalist DigitalTravelCouple may well do the trick. The video opens with some epic shots of Phang Nga Bay, an inlet of the Strait of Malacca which separates the island of Phuket from the Thai mainland. Then you'll head north to  Ko Tao and Koh Phangan, two islands in the Chumphon Archipelago in the Gulf of Thailand.  Other featured spots include the fabled island of Phuket and the beaches of Krabi Province.   

Top contributor and DVOW finalist Marian Peciar put together this fantastic three year reel of his travels throughout Europe. The video features the following locations: Snowdonia National Park in the UK region of Wales; the town of Penzance in Cornwall, England; Slovakia's Sulov Rocks; the lighthouse of Ponta do Pargo on the western end of the Portuguese island of Madeira; Austria's Nordkette Nature Park; the town of Tenby on the southern coast of Wales; Norway's Preikestolen aka the Pulpit Rock; Madeira's Crane Viewpoint; 

Contributor and DVOW finalist DroneHeroes is one of the top drone-focused accounts on Instagram. This outstanding reel features some of his highlights from his travels across 15 different countries.  Recognizable highlights include the Shard tower in London at the :11 mark and the famous windmills on the Greek island of Mykonos (:45). You'll also be treated to some stunning landscape and action shots from countries ranging from Australia, Thailand and Indonesia in Asia to France, Austria and the Netherlands in Europe.
