2020 Drone Videos of the Week: Episode 8

You won't want to miss this breathtaking reel by LYFTED MEDIA.  Founded in 2017, this talented group of pilots - headed by Jimmy Olivero - was ahead of the wave of aerial cinematography, and their portfolio of projects have been especially remarkable ever since. This particular compilation shows off their impressive productions from 2019, including urban, nature, and agricultural settings all captured professionally, and when woven together, evoke a very powerful intimate connection.  It was no surprise then that this video was a top selection for Drone Video of the Week in February 2020.

For his second upload to AirVuz, new contributor Tom Rad brings us this magnificent reel featuring aerial highlights from his travels around the world.  Opening with a shot from the South Pacific island nation of Vanatu, you'll then be taken over the medieval Croatian city of Dubrovnik, a pod of whales somewhere in the Pacific, the Croatian island of Hvar, and Italy's Amalfi Coast. Other spots include some Australian beaches, the Croatian town of Makarska, and much more.  The footage was captured with a DJI Mavic Pro 2 drone.

Prepare to be blown away by this spectacular annual reel from top AirVuz contributor dron-e.it.  In just 90 seconds, the video packs in many dozens of epic shots from across three countries: Italy, Hungary, and Thailand.  Some of the highlights include (in order of appearance) the hilltop town of Calcata in the Lazio region of central Italy; port of Naples, Italy; Rome's Castel Sant'Angelo; the Unicredit Tower in Milan; the Dead Sea; Phang Nga Bay in Southern Thailand; the Parliament Building in Budapest; and much more. 

Take in the beauty of northwestern Slovania in this fantastic video by new contributor BvdB Productions.  The video opens with a shot of what's likely the country's most iconic sight: the tiny Lake Bled, with its church-topped lone island.  From there, you'll head west into the high Julian Alps, a subrange of the Southern Limestone Alps which runs across northwestern Slovenia.  Here you'll take in some of Europe's most beautiful mountain scenery, including the famous Vršič Pass through the mountains north into Austria.  

New AirVuz contributor samibyala brings us this stunning piece from an abandoned village in the mountains of northern Libya.  The Nafusa Mountains are located in the western part of Libya's Tripolitania Region, which covers the northwestern part of this North African country.  The mountains sit between the country's coastal plain and the Tripolitanian Plateau to their south.  The historical home of much of Libya's Berber population, the mountains saw fierce fighting during the civil war which erupted in Libya in 2011.
